Sweet Treat For Your Keto Valentine
Keto Valentine Goodie |
I will not say that in two years I have not "cheated" because I have, but then after I did I sorely regretted it, not because I thought I would get ill, or gain ten pounds, but because it was awful. The nasty sugary taste lasted in my mouth for many hours after. Then I also noticed how much sugar was in so many things; and mostly unnecessary so as well.
I will say one thing for the keto lifestyle it has taught me to read labels and learn that sugar is the number one disguised ingredient. So treat yourself or your keto sweetie to a chocolate fat bomb.
For this recipe, I used my normal plain peanut butter chocolate fat bomb, but instead of putting them in simple round silicone cups, I chose to put them in a heart-shaped silicone pan.
I bought this silicone pan from Aldi it is the Crofton Brand and it is several years old. |
Normally I yield 6 cups out of this recipe, but the heart-shaped forms are a lot larger, therefore this recipe will only make 4 of them.
Recipe:
Ingredients
3 tbsp coconut oil (or butter)
1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp peanut butter, almond butter (or other favorite nut butter)
5-10 drops of stevia (or 2 tbsp Swerve)
The drops I use |
Me mixing ingredients |
How to:
1. Melt the coconut oil ( I do it in the microwave then stir)
2.Mix in the rest of the ingredients.
3. Freeze in nonstick cups in the freezer.
Optional add-ins can be
3 tbsp walnuts
1/4 tsp vanilla
Store leftovers in the freezer. About 90 calories each Approximate, 1 fiber, 3 carb
*Remember that adding in things like nuts and a strawberry will change the net carbs and the calorie count.
For this Valentine recipe, I slivered several strawberries and added just one on top before freezing.
Heart-shaped cuties for your keto lovely. Treat your special Valentine, treat your Galentine or treat yourself.
Happy Valentine's Day
Yum |
So easy to make and so easy to enjoy without the guilt.
