She died January 10, 1971 at the age of 87 years old in Paris France. She was considered a modernist. She is credited with inspiring women's fashion in a menswear fashion. She was considered Time 100 Most Important Person of the 20 th Century. In 1924, with the famous Wertheimer brothers perfume house Bourgeois they embarked into a partnership to create Channel Perfume.
