What is a Magnet Mask and Are They Safe

Image
Dr. Brandt Magnetight Mask I write this article today, not as a review, although I will give a review during this article, this comes after several email questions regarding specific minerals that are used in skincare. As consumers, we should know that outside of generally accepted type ingredients, there are no regulations for much of the cosmetic industry. I know I have also encouraged readers to make sure that they are looking at the ingredients labels as well. While there is certainly a public outcry for regulation, the cosmetic industry does try hard to regulate things themselves. The industry does also knows that consumers are also wanting clean and green things as ingredients as much as possible. The cosmetic industry is certainly realizing that in order to be a successful brand, they not only have to keep their "tried and true" best sellers as well as introducing new and trending ideas and ingredients. A Valentine's Day Reminder to take care of your heart.                                     💓💓💓A Heart-Healthy💓💓💓Valentine💓💓💓 Did you know? February is designated as American Heart Month. The American Heart Association uses February to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection of cardiovascular illness. Did you know that according to the American Heart Association there is an average of one death every thirty-eight seconds! That translates into 2,300 cardiovascular deaths each and every day. Take note that heart disease is the #1  killer of men and women in the United States; more than cancer deaths. According to research though, we can prevent about 90% of all heart disease. This is good news. This means we Can control what we Can control. We know that there are risk factors like family history and your age that we cannot change. Know Your Risk Factors Keeping abreast of what is unchangeable and what is, is important to help you lower you

Easy Valentine Shelf Sitter Craft

Image
A craft you can make! Although I usually don't decorate for Valentine's Day, I thought I'd join in and present a very easy peasy craft for your home decor. I like easy. I also like to upcycle things that I already have on hand. When I make things to sell or to give as gifts, I make them permanent with permanent glues and fixatives. For this little project, I went shopping in my house and as you may already know, nothing is ever permanent here! I did purchase a bag of the scrabble letters from Target in the dollar section, the whole bag spelled out "You Complete Me" and it was $3.00. I purchased these because I have some mixed media art that I will be using them for, but for today, five of them will be for the little shelf sitter above. When I shopped my house, I found a ton of usable frames, but most are so old that the frames hinge on being ugly, or in need of some repair. The one used in this project is little, it is 3x5" and was an old 1970's

Sweet Treat For Your Keto Valentine

Image
Keto Valentine Goodie One of the hardest things for me to do was to kick my love of sweets and sugary foods. Until I started my journey into the keto lifestyle, I never imagined myself rejecting the taste of a processed birthday cake or a fancy homemade brownie, but now that I am going into year 2 embracing low carb; I just don't have that sweet taste bud anymore. I will not say that in two years I have not "cheated" because I have, but then after I did I sorely regretted it, not because I thought I would get ill, or gain ten pounds, but because it was awful. The nasty sugary taste lasted in my mouth for many hours after. Then I also noticed how much sugar was in so many things; and mostly unnecessary so as well. I will say one thing for the keto lifestyle it has taught me to read labels and learn that sugar is the number one disguised ingredient. So treat yourself or your keto sweetie to a chocolate fat bomb. For this recipe, I used my normal plain peanut bu

Avocado Oil Spray Consumer Review

Image
Avocado oil spray Photo Credit:MaryCaliendoPhoto2020 In a quest to eat better and do better for my health, I have chosen to substitute all vegetable oils for my family and myself. We can control what we use in our own homes, although we never know what we are consuming when we make a trip to a restaurant, food truck or street fest. This is what I use for a spray for sauteing, grilling, pan roasting, and baking. I accidentally bought this one day when reaching for another type of spray. I didn't notice until I was putting things away in the pantry that I realized my mistake. As I picked up the container to read it, I realized I had heard of this before and in fact, a person I followed on Instagram uses it incessantly. In my opinion, this was a great mistake to make. What's So Special About This Not all oils are created equally. Many spray oils, including avocado oils, contain other ingredients or chemicals and additives. This particular brand is awesome because not on

This product is being reviewed for readers to highlight the label's natural ingredients and the transparency in which the company presents it on each of their labels. The company produces beauty and grooming products for men and women. The company bases its products on natural ingredients and they are also based partially in homeopathy. By 1988, the young Georgios was a pharmacology student and was working in a homeopathy pharmacy. This is where the desire to create beautiful and clean products began.
