Very Beautiful Quick & Free Tips!

While some of you may already be using these, there are many that have never even considered the possibilities! So here are a few easy-peasy tips for tough economic times:

First thing: always shop the drug store for your make-up, not only are the (off-brand/store-brand)or popular brand name cosmetics good-most of the time they even beat out high end department store brands! They are not only cheaper, they are as effective and at times prove to "work" even better than their competitors.

Second: tools and implements such as eyelash curlers, tweezers, curling irons, flat irons, hot rollers and such are cheaper and work as effectively as high-end items if purchased at large food sellers(Meijer & Walmart), and discount stores
such as places like Target,or Kmart.

Third: Always check beauty supply stores, most things other than hair-dyes and certain relaxers may be purchased by the general public.

When to go high-end? Need to go somewhere fabulous? Get a make over at a favorite beauty counter. Resist any hard sell to get you to buy something, and there you have it looking great as you leave with all new high-end products on your face! Always collect the take-home samples, for further use-they may take a phone number/e-mail address and will "bug" you possible regarding the products.

Beauty for fun:

Take out all the samples perfumes from your Sunday newspaper: use them a new scent each day-will make anyone feel beautiful! If you don't want to actually use them open them and use them a drawer sachets! Stick them in your laundry room, in your luggage, car, or even in the locker at the gym!

Always collect as many freebies as possible: go directly to a web-site of a product you love and most will have you sign up for e-mail and in return you get a small sample/or coupon.

And lastly, Turn over you bottles! Seriously I know your parents do this (um can you say Ketchup bottle?) Alot is wasted in shampoo/conditioner & lotion bottles-turn over for another few more days or applications you will be surprised by what you throw away!

Always remember the most beautiful make overs for free are sleep & smiles! They both make all the difference in your world and to those around and that's beautiful and free!

Beautiful Noise?

Can you hear what I hear? Not everything emits a beautiful noise!

Conversation, construction, sirens, schools bells, and spring weather warning systems; these are all noises but they are mostly unwanted, loud and sometimes ominous. For the most part, this type of loud clatter and din is what types of noises that often reach the loudest of decibels and are often not good for our hearing. Such is, the highly reported case with the ipod for example something that most teens do everyday, doing at times irreparable damage to the ear and hearing. But what about simple home appliances like the vacuum cleaner? Very loud indeed!

Consulting with facts at http://www.quietpavement.com/ Noises that we may encounter sometimes as much as daily, are not only annoying, they can be downright unbearable. For instance a household blender comes in at about 80 decibels and that is considered a bearable noise. The vacuum comes in at the annoying level of around 90 decibels! And now that it is summer time with dogs barking, lawn mowers mowing and jackhammers working~the noise is deafening!

For the worker with the jackhammer in operation, it rings in at a whopping 140 decibels! That is considered the painful level! The level for gentle conversation is at an acceptable level of 50!

The anxiety and stress levels of the construction worker may rise as well as threatening his hearing thus putting him in a constant risk situation for his/her health.

Let's hope that with good weather we can hear more of the simple beautiful noises like the sounds of swishing leaves in the canopy of trees overhead, along with the whistle of the robin and chirps of the finches that fill them!

Beautiful Forgiveness

By Mary Caliendo Are you currently holding a grudge? Could you be one of those people walking around with a “chip on their shoulder”? The wrongs done you may not be pretty, and may continue to harm your health in an unflattering and unhealthful way! Have you thought about forgiveness? We all know that over time stress wears away at the very core of our beings and ultimately harms our health overall. Harboring bitterness does the same thing! Many scientists, psychologists, as well as spiritual leaders are finding that letting go of a grudge is not only a beautiful thing, it is also most healthful as well! It seems though, most people struggle with thoughts that forgiveness means the wrong is then corrected and that letting go also means one will minimize whatever it was that brought one to a bitter place to begin with. Forgiveness is for you. You are the forgiver, and it is you who will be moving forward. Holding onto that resentment will cause you to continue to be consumed; your relationships will suffer and your health will fail. That grudge is hard work to maintain- it fills your life with constant stress, anxiety, and pain. One has to constantly be aware that no matter what circumstance you are bitter! Letting go: frees you, helps you lower heart rate and blood pressure, and your relationships with family, spouse, and co-workers become more meaningful and less hostile. Removing yourself as victim and emerging as a victor gives you the power. You make peace with yourself and your emotional well-being and that is a beautiful thing!

Beautiful Vacations?

So Spring break has come and gone~you couldn't or just didn't get to get away from it all? Well perhaps you don't have to! Rejuvenate yourself by taking a mental vacation! Take a relaxation vacation right at home. It is not a difficult thing to do and you'd be surprized in fact what little things can be done that can not only change your whole outlook but maybe even your life! To take yourself on a mental vacation you need to inspire yourself~ start by surrounding yourself with what makes you the happiest. Things you love; is the connection to the ispiration. For instance if you always wanted to take some type of spa vacation and that is your dream; simply recreate that in your own home. You can invest as little or as much as you want to to create your "spa" at home. A quick and easy way is fill up a tub full of almond milk or homemade bath salts~ turn on some music, light up the candles and soak your stress away by pretending you are in an island spa! It works! Yes some have a complete bath redo or remodel on their list but that is costly...lay out a fluffy robe-pour a glass of wine and enjoy practicing relaxation. Some others prefer to surround themselves in fluffy pillows-can be made from home or go borrow all the pillows off of all the beds and just lay amongst them~create a retreat: include flowers, good books and dinners out- all great ideas to make an escape from the everyday "ratrace". If we take a small mental break each week our stress levels go down and that is a beautiful goal! Enjoy a taking your mind on a vacation soon!
