Fitness Over Fifty Plus


I'm starting a group of over or WAY over 50 + fitness group. I'm hoping you'll join in too here. I'll be posting ideas and exercises along with healthy lifestyle changes and fun ways to get you moving. There's no uber commitment, and there's no money exchanged; only ideas. You can comment in the comments section to join in. In the nearest future, I'll be teaming up with a very popular fitness brand to help us all (and me too) along.  So let's get it moving!

    Set up your fitness goal. Zero in on what it is that you are trying to obtain. Ex. Fitness and weight loss. Head over to your medical professional and find out if you are healthy enough to start a fitness routine and/or diet.

    Step #2
    Once you do decide what type of exercise or fitness you'd like to do/attend and/or be part of find a friend or make one when you get to your class for example; friends will keep you accountable.

    Step#3
    Always stay hydrated before, during, and after working out. Stop if you are hurting. *You are exercising beyond your means; stop and rest.

    Berries (Blueberry,strawberry,blackberry,raspberry,cranberry)
    Whole grains
    Matcha Tea
    Walnuts
    pomegranate
    cruciferous veggies (broccoli,cauliflower,brussel sprouts and cabbage)
    Seafood (fatty fish) (salmon, tuna,and sardines)
    Olive Oil

    1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids (like as in salmon) plays a vital role in your healthy brain function. Eat them a few times per week and it will help you ease away depression symptoms.

  4. Mindful eating is when you have begin to form healthy habits toward food.
    -Eat with a purpose. (when hungry for example)
    -Eat slower (chewing food slowly and actually breaks it down better and readies it for digestion.
    -Form positive relationship with food. (Don't eat when bored, you'll be less likely to adhere to good eating habits)
