Desk Organizer Dollar Tree Craft

Image
I used these frames and this glue I put together a very easy craft that is super affordable and is quick to make This came as a result of my efforts to organize my house. My desk is always a mess, though I did try to keep things that were alike in piles.  It was a super hot mess! I had just finished cleaning my closet out and spotted the desk across the room, and I realized, "wow that desk is an ugly mess." I went to the Dollar Tree store to purchase Easter baskets for my grandkids and I spotted the clear plastic free standing picture frames, I thought I had seen another blogger at one time make an organizer out of them, but I couldn't remember who to credit. I quickly arranged them on the shelf and I knew it would work. I decided on just three of them, although, I think you could use four or even five of them in a row. I lined them up on the counter this is just before I glued them As you can see I lined them up, just to make sure I liked the arrangement a

Easy Valentine Shelf Sitter Craft

Image
A craft you can make! Although I usually don't decorate for Valentine's Day, I thought I'd join in and present a very easy peasy craft for your home decor. I like easy. I also like to upcycle things that I already have on hand. When I make things to sell or to give as gifts, I make them permanent with permanent glues and fixatives. For this little project, I went shopping in my house and as you may already know, nothing is ever permanent here! I did purchase a bag of the scrabble letters from Target in the dollar section, the whole bag spelled out "You Complete Me" and it was $3.00. I purchased these because I have some mixed media art that I will be using them for, but for today, five of them will be for the little shelf sitter above. When I shopped my house, I found a ton of usable frames, but most are so old that the frames hinge on being ugly, or in need of some repair. The one used in this project is little, it is 3x5" and was an old 1970's

Quick July 4th Table Decoration Craft

Image
My friend is hosting a party for the fourth of July and she called and asked what can I do really quick to put on my table?  I said go buy something!  LOL😃   You know I did not. I suggested that she make several types of extremely easy crafts. For the purpose of this article, I chose one that I had done in the past, and it is a beginner level easy.👍 I usually decorate my house for all the seasonal holidays and the fourth of July is no exception. There are many ways you can decorate for this theme. Anything that has red, white or blue in it or on it and basically you're set! It does not have to have stars and stripes on it to qualify. I love to have the American flag around, and often times I buy those 10 for $2.00 type handfuls when I see them. These flags are great along a pathway or attached to your mailbox or for use in a tablescape, door wreath or centerpiece. EASY FLAG CENTERPIECE WHAT YOU NEED *styrofoam ball (medium size) *acrylic/tempera paint & paintbrus

Have A Heart (hanging pearl heart craft)

Image
"Every Love story is special, unique and beautiful, but ours is my favorite." ~Unknown Make Valentine's Day last all year long. Have a heart hanging nearby to remind you of the special love you have together, or just because it adds a certain softness to the room. Today's craft is not difficult. This project took me just under 10 minutes and about 5 minutes to gather my supplies.  I saw this pearl craft on another blogger's web site and I wanted to credit them and let them know they inspired me to create my own, but for the life of me cannot remember where I saw it. If someone has run across it somewhere let me know. This project can be varied in so many ways, like the types of beads for example. I always use what I have on hand if I can. The type of beads can completely change the look of this.  It also can be made any size that you may want. You don't have to hang this from a ribbon, you could use a chain, a leather, a piece of twine. It is up

Magnolias In My Kitchen Very Simple Flower Centerpiece

Image
It's a very cold January day and not one glimpse of the sun is to be had. The ground is covered in snow and now there's even freezing drizzle/rain to add into making this a long winter's day. There's only one thing you can do is to bring warmth in, by way of flowers. I have these two magnolia stems sitting right near me, One has three blooms on it and one has two. They feel bright and remind me of summer. Those warm days where the car windows are down and the Grateful Dead are playing Sugar Magnolia on the radio. And the only thing you can do is wave your arms out to feel the breeze while you're singing the song! A lovely flower centerpiece will liven, brighten and warm my room. So I gathered a  few things: the two magnolia stems Some dried green moss, that I use often, it truly makes me think of spring and summer with its very vibrant green and even brown sticks!  2 very large bell-shaped dimpled glass containers, graduated in size the large

Skeleton Bride Door Wreath

Last minute Quickie decor change for my door.  I'm upcycling a really really old grapevine, that in its previous 100 other lives was so many other wreaths, this time was once a spring candle ring, I used it with two candles in the middle on a tablescape and it was really pretty. Spring wreath going Halloween Nothing in my house is EVER permanent, I try to find ways in which to recycle and be able to use even the smallest of things into something else. These flowers were stripped off and the wreath (14") is bare, (it once was brown but I spray painted it white for spring use) Bare wreath (I see that the vines are starting to become loose I will need the glue gun. Here are the supplies I'm using total cost  $5.25 (all items on sale) 1 simple bunch of black flowers, 2 bunches of black carnations with glitter on them, 2 fronds of purple glittered stems, one bow marked down to $2.00, a total find! and one skeleton bride. I simply began by cutting all of the bun
