Beautiful Noise?

Can you hear what I hear? Not everything emits a beautiful noise! Conversation, construction, sirens, schools bells, and spring weather warning systems; these are all noises but they are mostly unwanted, loud and sometimes ominous. For the most part, this type of loud clatter and din is what types of noises that often reach the loudest of decibels and are often not good for our hearing. Such is, the highly reported case with the ipod for example something that most teens do everyday, doing at times irreparable damage to the ear and hearing. But what about simple home appliances like the vacuum cleaner? Very loud indeed! Consulting with facts at http://www.quietpavement.com/ Noises that we may encounter sometimes as much as daily, are not only annoying, they can be downright unbearable. For instance a household blender comes in at about 80 decibels and that is considered a bearable noise. The vacuum comes in at the annoying level of around 90 decibels! And now that it is summer ti...

Beautiful Forgiveness

By Mary Caliendo Are you currently holding a grudge? Could you be one of those people walking around with a “chip on their shoulder”? The wrongs done you may not be pretty, and may continue to harm your health in an unflattering and unhealthful way! Have you thought about forgiveness? We all know that over time stress wears away at the very core of our beings and ultimately harms our health overall. Harboring bitterness does the same thing! Many scientists, psychologists, as well as spiritual leaders are finding that letting go of a grudge is not only a beautiful thing, it is also most healthful as well! It seems though, most people struggle with thoughts that forgiveness means the wrong is then corrected and that letting go also means one will minimize whatever it was that brought one to a bitter place to begin with. Forgiveness is for you. You are the forgiver, and it is you who will be moving forward. Holding onto that resentment will cause you to continue to be consumed; your relat...

Tone Down Your Stress

If you are like so many of us, you are running on the treadmill of life and feeling like the gerbil running on its wheel, just slow down. It is proven that stress takes years off our lives and we can do everything to help to change that. How? How about quiet meditation? Most people will find some excuse not to do it or they can't find the time, or some may even feel "weird" about it! By keeping it rather simple one can meditate without doing a full-blown meditation. We are not talking about some entranced state or extreme lengths of obligation. Just simply finding a quiet spot in the house and sitting in a comfortable place, chair,or even on the patio outdoors. Wherever you can find your oasis in your life this is where you go. It is up to you and your personal preferences some people like to sit on the floor, or some enjoy laying down; again it is up to you. Start by closing your eyes, and breathing in deeply and slowly fully relaxing into yourself and let go o...

Beautiful Dreamer!

By Mary Caliendo Did you know there's something behind the saying "getting your beauty sleep"? It's true, there are many cosmetics & preparations out there that can make one look prettier or better, but did you know that sleep is beauty for your overall health? Beautiful Self-Esteem

By Mary Caliendo Have you ever heard the saying "Everyone is beautiful in their own way?" Yes, I'm sure you have, so why is it that if we have all heard it a million times that we don't trust the saying? Most likely the reason we don't practice what we preach is because many times each day we are all reminded that it is a beautiful thing to be beautiful. The beautiful people get more things, they get better jobs, they find better partners (or find partners at all), and quite simply the people that are "better looking" just have a better time in life in general. It is time for that to change! "Everyone is beautiful in their own way" and we need to pass this very important bit of information to our little children and especially to the little girls coming up. I was impacted greatly when I went to visist a large manufacturer of beauty and beauty-related products. This manufacturer is proud to say their industry, the industry of beauty stinks! And...
