Keto Journey & Cream Stuffed Peppers Recipe

Image
*Keto Journey & Cream Stuffed Peppers Recipe* The Ketogenic Lifestyle is based on a high fat and low carb diet. When I started this plan, it was to one, simply lose weight and then two, to find a greater ease into fitness. I have lost weight while on this diet lifestyle, but it is hard to maintain. I use that line for all the, oops…I ate that birthday cake and chicken nugget mess ups…because to err is human, and well that I am! But I get right back on to the keto bandwagon and chalk up my mistakes to that fact that maybe there wasn’t anything available for me to eat, which surprisingly happens all the time. Precovid19 there were so many gatherings, weddings, birthdays and dining out that the menus should just be printed saying, which carb ladened thing do you want? I do now see so many companies and small businesses bringing the Ketogenic lifestyle to the forefront. In A Nutshell This lifestyle is very doable. Don’t give up if you haven’t seen results;

Happy 4th Of July and Caprese Kabobs Recipe

Image
Happy 4th of July I want to start out by wishing you a Happy Independence day! No matter how you spend it today, please be safe. Practice safety in so many ways like watching out for the little ones, being sure you are safe around fireworks and sparklers! (while we see them as a lower-class firework they are dangerous!) Sparklers burn at between 1800 degrees-3000 degrees Fahrenheit! That's hot and super dangerous. Here's a very simple yet classic appetizer recipe for the picnic, backyard BBQ, or even wedding. I love to make food that all types of diets can enjoy. This is gluten-friendly, keto-friendly, and vegan. It can be made with all organic ingredients; including the cheese, but for this recipe today I cheated and used cheese sticks to save time.  Need -Cherry or grape tomatoes  (today I used 40) 2 on each stick -skewers (your choice I used bamboo but sometimes they're not perfect i.e. crooked or shredding) can use long party toothpicks as well. -Favorite Balsamic vineg

Chaffles: Mini Keto Waffles and Dash Mini Waffle Maker Review

Image
 Finished homemade chaffles I'm jumping on board, I'm part of the Chaffle train!  I first found out about chaffles on my keto journey when I followed a keto chef that showed us how to make chaffles to use instead of bread. Lack Of Bread On the keto lifestyle, the elimination of bread is huge in order to have success with it. I can only speak for myself, but I was always missing bread. To be clear I was never that "big" on bread anyway, but I guess I was missing the sandwich as we traditionally know it. I am very creative in my use of inventing food type recipes that mimicked 2 slices of bread to make me feel like I had just eaten a sandwich. A lot of them were decent, yet still missing the texture and "feel" of bread. Enter The Chaffle and The Chaffle Recipe Heaven happened that day the chaffle entered my life! It turns out that the recipe was way simpler than making a loaf of bread ever could be. Now there are many variations to the basic

Keto Berry Jelly

Image
Finished jelly being used with 90second bread (a recipe later) I am always on a quest to find recipes that are not only simple to make and are tasty as well. The Ketogenic lifestyle cuts out sugars and high carb foods such as slices of bread and jelly, so breakfast seems a bit lost without it. *Sorry I guess that's me lost without that bit of sweetness and filling from the bread. I do also like recipes that I can make ahead because let's face it, I enjoy just reaching into the refrigerator and grabbing whatever I need just like the next guy. I also like recipes that I can share with my family too, and that anyone can eat and enjoy it. When making this recipe you can feel good that you would be sharing something that is good for anyone. Why Chia Seeds Chia comes from a salvia plant, which is in the mint family of plants. The salvia originated in Central and South America. Chia seeds are in recipes like jelly and pudding because they absorb liquid and in this recipe

Pickling The Last Bits of Summer With Easy Brine and Binge Watching

Image
It's the end of August and the kids are back at school, and now you can make the most of what is left of the long hot summer days, but by yourself! Are you in the pool with the large mattress float, are you exercising with the music blaring, or how about binge-watching your favorite shows on the patio (with a huge bucket of popcorn)? Whatever you're doing, I hope that you can find your beachy waves if you want them still. Source: Pinterest For myself, I deep clean the house! So many neglected spots and dust bunnies, I've lost count. I also embark on picking the haul in the garden. My family loves pickled foods and I  have just the easiest of all pickling brine recipes. This recipe is tried and true! I have been using it for many years. It is a cold pickling method instead of the boiling canning that once was the prominent way to make pickled foods. This method uses only a few ingredients and within the week they're ready to eat. Easy Pickling Recipe (D

Green Tea/Matcha Sugar Scrub

While matcha and green tea are fabulous to drink, did you know that many beauty products will include this ingredient? The beauty industry has been actually touting the “tea” in their products, in fact, using it as a selling point. Matcha powder has the highest concentration of naturally occurring antioxidants, followed by green tea. Matcha powder is the pulverization of the whole leaf of tea; no oxidation takes place in the harvesting. Green tea uses the leaf but is left to dry in the sun in the first level of oxidation. Matcha powder is very stark green, while green tea is more “kelly green” in color. Both teas do contain very helpful naturally occurring chemicals called polyphenols and they contain catechins and the catechins are filled with EGCG. These chemicals will fight and trap free radicals, inflammation and combat redness. All of these good chemicals actually help with anti-aging and even aid in the reversal of sun damage. When applied to the skin, the tea begins a
