From Scrapy & Crappy to Crafty & Adorable

I have always loved to make things with grapevine wreaths because they are relatively cheap to purchase, and can be found at most places like craft stores and Walmart for example. I never like anything that stays permanently, so literally, if I am using a grapevine indoors one can just "stick the decor into the woven pieces of grapevine and usually it will stay until you want to change it into something else" Of course, if using outside or on a door like this that is constantly moving or in direct contact with the weather, I will "wire" pieces onto the wreath to ensure that they stay in place.


 For this post I'm showing an old wreath that has seen its day, yes it is over 15 years old and falling apart, it is also not substantial to be placed on a front door anymore, adding pieces to make it more substantial and pretty, I have added whatever I had laying around the house! I first backed it by wiring the grapevine on top of the "egg wreath" and the simply wiring a few odds and ends flowers and greenery (left over from other projects), then using spools of leftover ribbon I added a simple tied on bow and to that I had a spool of leftover purple thinner ribbon and simply tied that on top of the other ribbon!  This took approximately 15 minutes to create! From throw-away junk to dashing trash! This wreath has some new life and I did not have to buy anything!  From scrappy & crappy to simply adorable!  Happy Spring! Deadliest Record-Breaking Cold Weather Is Dangerous

Photo Credit: Medicentres.com Today's post is in response to the dangerous cold and record-breaking weather that is upon approximately 110 million people! I am currently one of those people in the path of this polar vortex weather, and I am not happy. Midwesterners are tough, rugged and live through a lot of weather extremes, however, what is predicted to come for the next two days is just dangerous. A little less than half of the North American continent has an extreme weather forecast right now and in the next week or so. My area tomorrow is predicted to be in the -50 (negative temps) to possible -60's !. The sub-zero temps are here already, but tonight and tomorrow will be excruciating! Viral Feta Cheese Bake Recipe

Well you know we tried it, maybe you have too, but if you didn't you really should! This easy recipe was simply all over the internet; I mean everywhere! That's how it became viral, because even younger foodies were making it too. Our family not only loves to try new things in the way of food,we love eating the new stuff too, so now we were off to the races. We love cheese and for a ketogenic person this is a good thing too. TIPS: This recipe involves using a whole block of feta cheese. Please do not get crumbles of feta it will NOT cook the same way.
