By Mary Caliendo

Farrah Fawcett born February 2, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas died today June 25, 2009. Farrah fought long and hard with a battle with cancer. Her life time friend, confidant, and father of her only child son Redmond, Ryan O'Neal along with best girlfriend, Alana Stewart, were at her bedside. She was 62 years old.

She got her break in Hollywood doing a toothpaste commercial and from there rose to supermodel fame as a "Charlie's Angels" TV show and multi-million dollar, top selling pin-up poster. She was once married to Lee Majors the "Six Million Dollar Man". Her career spanned movies into the 1980's. And in 1984 she played an abused wife in "The Burning Bed", which garnered her and Emmy Nomination, and revived her career as a serious actress. In 1995 Farrah turned 50 and then posed in Playboy.

Recently with her partner Ryan O'Neal at her side she starred in a made for TV videoblog about her cancer. She was brave as she stared in the face of her illness and thus left a wonderful legacy behind.
An American Angel has left our Earth.
