Welcoming Fall Housewarming Gift

Happy September, and now welcome to fall's change of seasons. After this summer my area suffered through a harsh hot weather related drought and an uptick in tornadic activity; though we have a lot of tornados and straight line winds wrapped with thunderstorms here, this year we had at least three different occaisions where we had upwards to five or more tornados at one time! That will have your head spin for real! Sitting on the patio relaxing one night last week, I felt a cool breeze saunter through the trees and ruffle my umbrella ovehead announcing onset of fall was not far behind.
I took this photo late in October 2022.
My friend's sold their 25 year old home to get in on the housing boon and to downsize. My girlfriend wanted to finally, after all this time, get her true "forever home" just the way she wanted it. They built a new ranch style home with all the bells and whistles on it and in it. They finally finished it and her husband is about to retire so they had a party. I wanted to welcome Fall and give her a small gift of items she'll use to decorate her new home. I hit the Target dollar spot to find things to put into a housewarming gift that wouldn't break the bank. See below the very simple way I arranged the gift basket to give for a fall housewarming:
I loved the little brown rope basket, the larger very light green pumpkin in a soft brushed material, the little copper pumpkin that was a velvet type material, the 2 pc. set of kitchen towels that had both light green and then dark green with shimmers and a little pumpkin scented candle. The total cost of these Target finds was $17.00! Breakedown as follows: $5. rope basket, $5. little candle, $3. large pumpkin, $3. kitchen towels, $1. little pumpkin. WoW!! I thought it was perfect, how about you?
I "balled" up some paper on the bottom of the basket just to prop up the contents.
Then I stuck the towels into the basket while letting the set of towels lay over the edge of the rope basket, and then put in the larger of the two pumpkins off to the side.
I then "snugged" in the tinier pumpkin next to the larger one and toward the front. This way that copper pumpkin was easily seen. Then finally, on the highest part of the "balled" up paper I stuck the little jar candle in. Doesn't it look adorable? So easy to make. Just "color match" the things you spot and challenge yourself to spend less while making your gift look like a million. *Color match is a concept that you put together things that have "like" looks, colors and shapes. Have fun! Welcome to Fall.
